Alfred is an awesome productivity app for Mac OS X — app launcher, file browser, hotkey manager, command prompt, file-actioner, and more, all in one sexy, functional and highly extensible interface. It’s free, but to get all the bells and whistles (and you really do want them) you’ll need the Powerpack. The Powerpack also allows you install extensions (workflows in Alfred 2) so the tricks you can get Alfred to do are really only limited by your imagination. (My “Household Chores” workflow is in the pipeline — but don’t hold your breath.)
This page is a repository of workflows I have created for Alfred. Most of them will get their own featured page on this blog eventually, with detailed description and instructions, but for those that haven’t I’ve linked to the respective page in the Alfred forum.
